Recently, CSU was named a Confucius Institute, joining more than 400 others the world over and becoming one of 90 in the USA. I was asked to cover the dedication dinner at Fort Collins Country Club where former Colorado Governor Bill Ritter and CSU President Tony Frank spoke to those in attendance.
The keynote speaker and distinguished guest was Chinese Vice Minister XU Lin who is the director of all Confucius Institutes around the world. Apparently she is one of the highest ranking Chinese official to visit northern Colorado.
