Kade was my second, and final, senior portrait of the year. We decided to split our time between his home in the foothills and downtown Loveland — specifically, the Loveland Feed and Grain building that is such a popular spot for photographers. After spending nearly a month dodging the weather and Kade’s football obligations, we finally got the job done.

I do very few senior portraits every year. Here are some favorites from my first of a whopping two that I shot this last year.

Ben & Elizabeth – Engagement

Ben and Elizabeth will be getting married this August so we needed to get some engagement pics as part of their celebration.  We had originally planned on shooting up at Horsetooth Reservoir but the wind was just too much to handle, so we headed to a park along the Poudre River near New Belgium Brewery.  I was pretty happy with the results considering the location doesn’t have a whole lot to offer…here are my favorites.

Nick & Nikki

What a great time with these two at Horsetooth Reservoir.  They are getting married in Banff in December but needed to get some engagement photos taken before the big day.  Nikki brought  some props and a few ideas to help create some fun images, and Nick was game for just about anything – making my job a bit easier.  Just when I thought the sunset was going to be a bust, we were treated to some great Colorado colors to end the session.
